Credit Cards / Payments / Cancellation Policy

What is your cancellation policy?

Vail Rental Car has a 24 hour non-refundable cancellation policy for all reservations. All reservations cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled reservation date and time will be charged in full.  All reservations cancelled outside of 24 hours of scheduled reservation date & time will be refunded in full, less a 3% credit card processing fee.  If the reservation was paid with a credit card, the refund will be issued to that same credit card.

Do you require a credit card to make a reservation?

Credit Cards

Vail Rental Car does require a major Credit Card for all reservations and gladly accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover. The credit card used must be in the name of the person renting the car. All listed prices are in U.S currency.

Debit cards

Debit cards will not be accepted under any circumstance.

Qualifications

Can I rent a car in Vail and drop it off at the Airport?

Yes, Vail Rental Car allows guests to pick up their vehicle in Vail and drop it off at the Denver International Airport. We also rent vehicles at DIA allowing guests to drop the vehicle off in Vail

Do I need my own auto insurance coverage to rent a vehicle?

Yes.  Renters are required to provide their own full coverage auto insurance (collision & liability) & proof of auto insurance must be presented when picking up the rental vehicle.  Vail Rental Car does not sell or provide any type of insurance.

Do I need a license to rent a vehicle?

Yes, you will need a valid U.S. license from any state.

How old do I have to be to rent a vehicle?

You must be at least 21 years old to rent a vehicle.  A $15 per day fee will be charged to renters between the ages of 21 & 24.

Courtesy Pick Up & Drop Offs

Do I have to come to your facility to rent a car or will someone come pick me up?

We do provide courtesy pick ups & drops offs from any home, business or lodging location in the Vail Valley between the hours of 11:00am to 2:00pm. The rental process must be completed & terminated at our facility.

Lost & Found

What if I accidentally leave something in my rental vehicle?

Vail Rental Car is not responsible for any lost or damaged items left in the vehicles, however, if you have left something behind please contact us at 97O-453-7368 and we’ll do everything we can to reunite you with your belongings.
